[Financial News] KOBC has been recognized for the stable operation of its anti-bribery and compliance management systems based on international standards, as well as its continued efforts to improve them.
KOBC said on the 8th that it had recently received certification from Korea Management Registrar (KMR) for the international standards ISO 37001 for anti-bribery management systems and ISO 37301 for compliance management systems for the second consecutive year.
An anti-bribery management system is an international standard for preventing and managing corrupt practices within an organization, such as accepting money or valuables and improper solicitation. A compliance management system is an international standard for systematically managing risks related to an organization’s compliance with its legal and ethical obligations.
The corporation first obtained anti-bribery management system certification in 2024. Last year, while maintaining that certification, it newly obtained compliance management system certification, expanding its existing anti-bribery-focused management framework to cover compliance management throughout the organization.
By successfully maintaining both certifications this year, the corporation confirmed that the anti-bribery and compliance management systems it had built over the years were not merely one-off initiatives but were being operated continuously.
KOBC President Ahn Byeong-gil said, “Maintaining these certifications is the result of the efforts of all executives and employees to establish anti-bribery and compliance management as principles of everyday work,” and stressed, “We will continue to enhance our international-standard-based anti-bribery and compliance management systems and foster an organizational culture in which integrity and compliance are naturally practiced throughout every work process.”
