[Financial News] The University of Seoul held an event to share its students’ overseas field experiences and achievements.
The University of Seoul said on the 8th that it had held the ‘2026 GO (Global Odyssey)-UOS Results Sharing Event’ on the 7th at its 100th Anniversary Hall on its campus in Jeonnong-dong, Seoul. The event was organized for the first time this year to give students returning from visits to countries around the world during summer vacation a chance to share their experiences and ideas.
This year, 100 students took part in the GO-UOS program, forming 25 teams. Participants visited 33 cities in 12 countries, including the United States, Australia, Spain, Portugal, Japan and China. The students carried out a range of activities at their destinations based on topics and goals chosen by each team.
At the results-sharing event, all 25 teams presented what they had found during their visits and what they had learned. The university combined evaluations by participating teams of promotional content submitted in advance with scores from on-site evaluations, then selected and awarded 10 outstanding teams in total, including recipients of the grand prize, excellence awards and encouragement awards.
The ‘Sarang-ae (Love)!’ team, which gave a presentation, said, “This trip went beyond being simply an overseas experience and became an opportunity to learn the values of communication and service, expertise and creativity.” Another participating team, ‘RAH Menya~ho,’ said, “We made precious memories with our classmates on a trip we planned and set out on ourselves.”
The University of Seoul plans to produce a video introducing the program using promotional materials submitted by students, including videos and card-news posts. The video will be released through the university’s official YouTube channel and other social media (SNS) channels.
Kim Wan-sun, the University of Seoul’s dean of student affairs, said, “I hope this event has given students an opportunity to share what they learned and achieved in the field and gain new perspectives,” adding, “We will continue to support students so they can discover their potential and grow in a wider world.”
