[Financial News] BNK Financial Group has begun implementing ‘Value-Up 2.0’ in earnest, aiming to translate its corporate value enhancement plan into tangible change and results across the group.
According to BNK Financial Group on the 8th, it held the ‘BNK Value-Up 2.0 Leadership Summit’ at Busan Bank’s headquarters on the 6th, attended by group executives, CEOs and executives from all affiliates, and the boards of the holding company and its affiliates. The following day, the 7th, it held a ‘BNK Capital Markets Roundtable’ with shareholders, investors and analysts.
The events were organized to strengthen the implementation of the corporate value enhancement plan announced last month and to establish value-up as a management approach and organizational culture throughout the group. Internally, the focus was on having the board and executives review the group’s strategy and execution priorities; externally, it was on expanding communication with the market to improve the effectiveness of the corporate value enhancement strategy.
At the Leadership Summit held on the first day, the management teams of the holding company and all affiliates, as well as the boards of the holding company and its affiliates, took part in discussions on the group’s corporate value enhancement goals and each affiliate’s execution tasks.
The emphasis was on strengthening group-wide collaboration so that strategy development, execution and performance reviews are organically connected, by having the board and executives share and review the group’s strategy and execution priorities together.
The discussion focused not on adding new strategies, but on how to translate plans already in place into tangible business results. Each affiliate agreed to review its business portfolio and resource allocation system with an emphasis on profitability and capital efficiency rather than growth in scale, and to pursue execution tasks to turn these priorities into concrete business results.
Shareholders, investors and analysts attended the subsequent roundtable to discuss BNK Financial Group’s corporate value enhancement goals and execution plans, and exchange views with executives on key management issues and future priorities. The aim is to strengthen two-way communication—not merely explain the corporate value enhancement plan, but also incorporate the market’s diverse assessments and opinions into management.
BNK Financial plans to continue sharing the progress and results of its corporate value enhancement strategy with the board, and to review its execution priorities through communication with the market, including shareholders and investors.
