[Financial News] Samsung Welstory is introducing Mediterranean food culture at its cafeterias for the first time in the foodservice industry.
Samsung Welstory said on the 8th that it would collaborate with Greece-based premium lifestyle brand Yiayia & Friends to offer healthy menu items inspired by Mediterranean food culture at its cafeterias.
Yiayia is a brand that offers a range of products, from wellness foods such as olive oil to household goods with stylish designs, and promotes healthy food culture and a trendy lifestyle.
The three signature items are bulgogi, chicken and shrimp pita sandwiches. Fillings are tucked into pita bread—a round, flat bread commonly enjoyed in the Mediterranean region—to make sandwiches.
The menu features recipes newly developed to suit cafeteria operations, inspired by pita pocket sandwiches sold by Super Yiayia, the F&B brand operated by Yiayia.
The grab-and-go section in the cafeterias will offer pita bread and olive oil stick sets used in the sandwiches, as well as olive ragu tteokbokki, while the cafés will sell fresh tomato and olive juice.
A Samsung Welstory spokesperson said, "We will continue to expand healthy menu offerings that combine distinctive brands with food and beverage content, supporting our customers’ wellness lifestyles."
