[Financial News] Samsung Asset Management is preparing a forum to share its outlook for the stock market and investment strategies amid high interest rates.
Samsung Asset Management said on the 8th that it will hold the ‘ETF Investment Webinar with Samsung KODEX’ via a YouTube livestream at 6 p.m. on the 12th. The webinar will focus on ‘2027 Market Outlook and ETF Investment Strategies.’
In the first session, Oh Seung-hoon, head of Samsung Asset Management’s Research Center, will give an outlook for domestic and global stock markets next year. Samsung Asset Management sees sectors related to AI infrastructure and services, which have strong earnings-generating capacity, as promising in a high-interest-rate environment. For the domestic market, it expects listed companies’ earnings to be inadequately reflected in share prices amid heightened volatility and concerns about the semiconductor cycle. However, it expects the domestic market to be revalued if shareholder-return policies gain momentum next year and listed companies continue to deliver sustainable earnings.
In the second session, Ahn Jeong-jin, head of Samsung Asset Management’s ETF Consulting Team, will present ETF investment strategies. The session will examine bottlenecks and supply shortages across the semiconductor sector, equipment, power infrastructure and energy storage systems (ESS) as AI advances, and discuss how to use ETFs expected to benefit at different stages. It will focus in particular on investment opportunities in transformers, power lines and ESS, where supply shortages are expected to persist as AI data centers proliferate and the U.S. power grid is replaced. It will also introduce ways to use KOSDAQ 150 ETFs, which invest broadly in growth sectors, in conjunction with policies to revitalize the KOSDAQ market.
The webinar has been scheduled as part of the third week of this year’s inaugural ‘Korea Premium Week.’ Korea Premium Week is the country’s largest capital-market investor relations event, with 42 organizations and 55 listed companies taking part. Participants include the Financial Services Commission and the Korea Exchange, market-related institutions such as the Korea Financial Investment Association, the Korea Securities Depository and the Korea Securities Finance Corporation, as well as the financial investment industry and media outlets.
