[Financial News] Actress Kim Boo-sun said she would continue to respond to malicious comments without leniency.
On the 6th, Kim Boo-sun posted an announcement on her YouTube channel, ‘Kim Boo-sun TV,’ titled ‘Update on Legal Action Against Malicious Comments and the Spread of False Information.’
Kim Boo-sun said that “vile sexual harassment, personal insults, and defamation based on false information and malicious comments containing insults—things too awful to repeat—have continued through live-stream chats and video comments.” She also revealed that one person who posted malicious comments had been indicted by prosecutors and referred for trial.
Kim Boo-sun said, “I have put up with indiscriminate attacks because I am a celebrity or because of differences in political views and leanings, but these are clearly criminal acts and violence that destroys a person’s life.” She added, “So I will no longer stand by and will pursue legal action without leniency.”
She went on to warn, “Please bear in mind that not a single line in a live-stream chat or comment posted while hiding behind the anonymity of the internet will be exempt from being traced by investigative authorities, a process that will inevitably lead to legal punishment.”
Kim Boo-sun said, “I will continue monitoring and collecting evidence of all malicious comments, the spread of false information, and sexually harassing posts in live-stream chats and across my channel. I will hold those responsible strictly legally accountable to the end, without any settlement or leniency.”
She added, “Please cooperate in making this a healthy space for communication where basic human rights and courtesy are respected,” making clear that she would continue to take a firm legal stance against malicious comments.
