Sphere secures 60.8 billion won in special alloy contracts over two days, equal to 64% of last year’s revenue

[Financial News] Sphere Corporation has expanded its order book for its aerospace business through a series of materials supply contracts. The combined value of the three contracts signed on the 6th and 7th of this month is 60.80354 billion won, about 63.57% of its total revenue last year.
Sphere, whose core business is global supply chain management (GSCM), announced on the 7th that it had signed a contract to supply special alloys to a global aerospace launch company in the United States. The contract is worth 24.22998 billion won, equivalent to 25.33% of its revenue of 95.63856 billion won last year.
The two contracts secured the previous day were also included in the total. One was for the supply of special alloys, worth 18.84098 billion won, and the other was for the supply of special alloy raw materials, worth 17.73258 billion won. They represent 19.70% and 18.54% of last year’s revenue, respectively.
Sphere is expanding its business with overseas customers, with aerospace alloys and raw materials as its main products. Its strategy is to build a supply chain that can reliably provide the materials needed by global aerospace companies and, in turn, strengthen its business competitiveness.
A Sphere representative said, “As aerospace technology advances, the need for special alloys that meet high quality standards is growing. We plan to expand our related business by strengthening our supply capabilities to meet each customer’s needs and improving the stability of our procurement system.”
