[Financial News] The Busan National Science Museum said on the 7th that it is recruiting volunteers for the fourth cohort of the “KOICA Tanzania Project Volunteer Corps” through the 13th.
The project is an official development assistance (ODA) program of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). Through the “Project to Strengthen Science Experimentation Capacity and Improve Hygiene Conditions at Secondary Schools in Zanzibar, Tanzania,” the Busan National Science Museum and the Korea International Education Development Cooperation Institute will dispatch 84 volunteers in six cohorts from 2025 to 2028.
The fourth cohort will consist of 16 volunteers. The openings are in science education (10: seven for young people and three with no age restriction), hygiene education (five for young people), and architecture (one with no age restriction).
Selected volunteers will take part in training in Korea and activities in Tanzania for four months starting in March 2027.
This is the ninth cohort of KOICA’s Project Volunteer Corps, and applications can be submitted through the dedicated volunteer corps website.
Choi Jun-young, head of the Education and Research Office at the science museum, said, “Building on the museum’s expertise, we will actively support volunteers so they can plant and nurture the seeds of science culture in the local community,” adding, “We hope many people will take an interest in and participate in this opportunity to gain experience in international development cooperation and share their expertise.”
