[Financial News]  Hoan Group is moving to standardize its hotel operating infrastructure to expand its in-house premium hotel brand, HOHE. Its strategy is to combine systems from external specialist companies, from room sales and reservation management to supplies procurement, to improve operational efficiency as it expands into new locations.
Hoan Group announced on the 7th that it had signed a three-party memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Sanha Information Technology, a hotel operations solutions company, and Yanolja Partners, a hotel development consulting company, for lodging and space development and the introduction of IT and materials solutions, among other areas.
The core of the partnership is to systematize sales and operational tasks that can be fragmented across individual hotels. The three companies plan to integrate lodging product development and space operations with online sales, reservation and room management, and purchasing and supplies (MRO).
They also plan to develop and introduce an artificial intelligence (AI)-based automation system to support hotel sales and operations. Their aim is to flesh out the business structure and each company's role, then establish an operating framework that can be applied to new HOHE locations.
Sanha Information Technology will provide IT-based operational solutions for HOHE locations, including online sales marketing, sales-channel integration, and reservation and room management. Yanolja Partners will work with the group on establishing supply chains for the supplies and MRO needed for hotel operations, as well as on brand sales.
Hoan Group is a lodging development and operations company led by CEO Lee Seung-hoon, who previously headed Yanolja F&G. With Lee's experience across the hotel business, from brand planning to investment, development and operations, the company is pursuing both expansion into new locations and greater operational efficiency, with HOHE at its center.
Industry observers said that as hotel brands expand to multiple locations, standardizing back-end operations such as room sales and reservation management, purchasing and procurement can affect profitability. They said the key to brand expansion is not simply increasing the number of hotels, but how much operating costs at each location can be reduced while maintaining the same quality of service.
A Hoan Group representative said, "This partnership will strengthen HOHE's market expansion potential and operational efficiency," adding, "Through collaboration with companies specializing in each field, we will create new growth drivers for the lodging industry."
