With Doorstep Delivery, sellers pack their items and leave them at their door, and a courier picks them up and delivers them directly to the buyer. The service is designed to spare sellers the hassle of going to a convenience store or parcel drop-off point, and to let them manage the transaction conveniently within the Joonggonara platform, from listing an item to delivery.
An analysis by Joonggonara of Doorstep Delivery usage data for September found that 44% of sellers who listed items during the month used the service at least once. Doorstep Delivery listings also accounted for 29.3% of all newly listed items.
Use of Doorstep Delivery continued to grow steadily. The average number of daily Doorstep Delivery listings in the last week of September was about 40% higher than in the first week after the service’s official launch, and about 660% higher than during its initial beta period.
In response to this trend, Joonggonara is expanding eligibility for its October shipping-fee support by lowering the minimum transaction amount, so more users can use Doorstep Delivery. Throughout October, sellers who sell items for more than 20,000 won using Safe Payment and complete the transaction through Doorstep Delivery within the month will receive 1,500 won in shipping-fee support per order. The payment is made automatically during settlement of the sale proceeds when the conditions are met, with no separate application process or limit on the number of orders. The promotion may end early if the allocated benefits run out.
Joonggonara plans to make the delivery process after payment more convenient through Doorstep Delivery, while improving the service’s usability and continuing to enhance its overall quality based on user feedback and usage data.
Choi Inwook, CEO of Joonggonara, said, “Demand is growing rapidly: just one month after the official launch, at least four out of 10 sellers are listing items through Doorstep Delivery. We will continue to improve the service so that more users can enjoy a convenient secondhand trading experience, and focus on reducing friction throughout the entire transaction—from browsing and listing items to payment, delivery and settlement.”
