[Financial News] Series Ventures, an accelerator (AC) focused on southeastern Korea, has invested in TheMantaStory, which is developing a Korean-style AI (artificial intelligence) video-generation engine for long-form commercial videos.
On the 7th, Series Ventures CEOs Kwak Seong-uk and Park Jun-sang said, "TheMantaStory is a team that uses 25 years of production know-how and its own AI technology to solve copyright and quality problems that general-purpose tools have been unable to address." They added, "It has great potential to establish a Korean standard in the long-form AI video market."
TheMantaStory has 25 years of production know-how from working on VFX for films including *Train to Busan*, *Peninsula* and *Jung_E*, as well as seven patents related to AI and digital twins. Based at the Busan AI Tech Studio, it has also established a system for training local talent through industry-academic collaboration with Dongseo University and deploying them at production sites. TheMantaStory aims to extend AI production processes already proven in short-form videos to long-form formats such as films and dramas.
TheMantaStory CEO Jeong Hwang-su said, "Our goal is to help creators bring their stories to the world faster and more safely with AI." He added, "Building on this investment, we will advance the infrastructure for producing K-style long-form AI videos free of copyright concerns."
