[Financial News] On an autumn evening, the rooftop of Garak Mall in Seoul will be transformed into an outdoor festival venue for craft beer and performances. The Seoul Agricultural and Marine Products Corporation announced on the 7th that it will hold the 3rd Garak Oktoberfest at Sky Park on the third floor of Garak Mall from the 16th through the 18th.
At the venue, visitors can enjoy a variety of craft beers, bar snacks and finger foods made with agricultural, marine and livestock products sold at Garak Mall. Music performances will continue throughout the festival.
This year, the event has moved beyond a focus on watching, with more programs that citizens can take part in directly. The first day will kick off with a parade, followed by the game program “Garak Entertainment Hall” and prize drawings.
A space will also be set up for visitors coming with children. The kids’ zone will feature children’s activity facilities, including inflatable bounce houses, and a banquet area where visitors can enjoy a night-market atmosphere will also be open. In addition to the existing tables for four, group seating for larger parties will be provided.
The festival will also continue its charitable giving. Some of the event’s proceeds will be donated to House of Hasang Baoro, a free soup kitchen in Garak Market.
An official with the Seoul Agricultural and Marine Products Corporation said, “We will continue working to make Garak Mall a vibrant local destination where citizens can drop by and spend time whenever they like.”
