‘La bohème’ soprano Hyesang Park marries U.S. citizen and office worker ... ‘opera lover’

[Financial News] Soprano Hyesang Park has married a U.S. citizen who works in an office.
Her agency, ANR Collective, said on the 6th that Park married on the 4th (local time) in New York, U.S.
Her husband is a U.S. citizen who works in an office and is known to be an opera lover who studied vocal music in the past.
In 2015, Park placed second and won the Audience Award at the Montreal International Music Competition in Canada. That same year, she drew international attention by placing second in the women’s division at Operalia, the International Opera Competition, held in London, UK. She later successfully completed a recital at Carnegie Hall in New York and has performed at major theaters around the world, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
In 2020, she became the first Asian soprano and, after pianist Seong-Jin Cho, the second Korean artist to sign an exclusive contract with the world-renowned classical music label Deutsche Grammophon (DG).
She is set to make her debut as Mimì in the opera ‘La bohème,’ which will be performed at the Grand Theater of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul from Nov. 5 to 8.
