Korea Zinc’s Onsan Smelter joins Ulsan City in volunteering at a facility for children with disabilities

\ \ [Financial News] Around 30 people, including labor and management personnel from Korea Zinc’s Onsan Smelter and Ulsan City officials, visited Suyeon Rehabilitation Center in Ulju County, Ulsan, a childcare and rehabilitation facility for children with severe disabilities, and carried out volunteer cleanup work.
According to Korea Zinc on the 6th, the activity, held on the 30th of last month, was the third- and fourth-quarter volunteer activity under the “One Company, One Facility: Sharing Warmth” public-private volunteer partnership agreement for welfare facilities for people with disabilities, signed with Ulsan City in March last year. Since the agreement was signed, Korea Zinc’s Onsan Smelter has regularly visited Suyeon Rehabilitation Center to carry out quarterly volunteer activities.
Around 30 people, including labor and management personnel from Korea Zinc’s Onsan Smelter and Ulsan City officials, took part in the activity and cleaned common areas and other parts of the facility. Korea Zinc’s Onsan Smelter plans to continue its quarterly volunteer activities and provide support tailored to the facility’s needs.
A representative of Korea Zinc’s Onsan Smelter said, “We will continue to listen to the voices of local welfare facilities and look at what is needed on the ground, striving to fulfill our social responsibilities as a company that works alongside the local community.”
