"Quarter to cost 19,900 won"... Baskin-Robbins to raise product prices by an average of 5.9%

[Financial News] Baskin-Robbins, an ice cream franchise, is raising its prices.
According to industry sources on the 6th, Baskin-Robbins will raise the prices of some products, including ice cream, by an average of 5.9% starting on the 12th.
This marks the first price increase in three years and two months since August 2023. The affected products include 16 ice cream items and 30 beverages and other products, for a total of 46 items.
More specifically, the price of the ice cream item 'Single Regular' will rise from 3,900 won to 4,300 won, while the 'Quarter' will increase from 18,500 won to 19,900 won. The 'Café31 Americano' beverage will go up from 5,300 won to 5,500 won.
A Baskin-Robbins representative explained, "We were inevitably forced to adjust prices due to increases in the costs of raw materials and various other expenses."
Recently, price increases have continued among franchise brands affiliated with Sangmidang Holdings, including Baskin-Robbins. In August, Dunkin' raised the prices of 39 doughnut products by an average of 6.5%. At the time, its signature products, 'Famous Glazed' and 'Cacao Honey Dip,' each increased from 1,700 won to 1,900 won, while the 'Crème Brûlée Donut' rose from 4,100 won to 4,200 won.
Paris Baguette also raised the prices of some products by an average of 5.0% in the same month, including 86 types of bread and 41 types of cakes and desserts.
