[Financial News] Yuhan Corporation, which has continued to see strong exports of active pharmaceutical ingredients, is launching a major push to win more contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) business at the world's largest pharmaceutical and biotechnology trade fair.
Yuhan Corporation announced that it will set up a standalone booth at CPHI Worldwide 2026 (CPHI Milan 2026), taking place in Milan, Italy, from the 6th to the 8th on local time, as it seeks to expand its presence in global markets.
CPHI is the world's largest pharmaceutical and biotechnology exhibition, held each year in rotation across major European countries. Tens of thousands of industry professionals and representatives from companies involved in active pharmaceutical ingredients, CDMO services, packaging and equipment attend the event.
At this year's event, Yuhan Corporation plans to highlight its research and development (R&D) capabilities and commercialization expertise to global partners. In particular, it will actively promote its high-quality active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) production infrastructure, secured through synergies with its subsidiary Yuhan Chemical, along with its CDMO capabilities that meet U.S. current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) standards. Key personnel from global business, R&D and overseas sales teams will attend in large numbers to hold one-on-one business meetings with major pharmaceutical companies and biotechnology firms from around the world.
Yuhan Corporation's API business has been growing steadily as contract manufacturing orders from multinational pharmaceutical companies continue to increase. Overseas partnerships are also gaining momentum, supported by Yuhan Chemical's proactive expansion of production capacity and quality management aligned with global regulatory standards. The company plans to use the event to accelerate its growth and diversify its CDMO contracts.
A Yuhan Corporation official said, "Participating in CPHI, the world's largest pharmaceutical and biotechnology event, is an important opportunity to demonstrate Yuhan Corporation's global commercialization capabilities and technological expertise to key markets around the world. Based on our innovative pipeline and globally competitive CDMO capabilities, we will strengthen cooperation with existing partners and accelerate our progress toward becoming one of the world's top 50 pharmaceutical companies."
