【Financial News, Chuncheon = Kim Ki-seop, Reporter】From October through November, about 90 performances will take the stage in venues across Gangwon State, welcoming audiences this fall.
According to the Gangwon Art & Culture Foundation on the 6th, the foundation will run the "Gangwon State Is On Stage" campaign through November to build enthusiasm for attending performances this fall. The campaign was organized across Gangwon State in line with "2026 Korea On Stage," a national initiative hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and organized by the Korea Arts Management Service. It brings together and presents information on performances across the state, reflecting the national campaign's goal of making performances widely known and easily accessible to everyone.
The featured performances span a range of genres, including music, traditional arts, dance and theater, and will be staged throughout the state in cities such as Chuncheon, Wonju and Gangneung. The foundation has compiled a guidebook with essential information for audiences, including the schedule, venue and details of each production, and posted it on its website.
An event encouraging participation in the campaign will also be held on the foundation's Instagram from today through the 31st. Participants can browse the program book, choose a performance they would like to see this fall and leave the selection in a comment on the event post. The foundation will draw 100 participants to receive café vouchers, with the winners to be announced on Instagram on November 6.
HyunSang Shin, CEO of the Gangwon Art & Culture Foundation, said, "About 90 performances, ranging from music to theater, are waiting for audiences throughout Gangwon State, including in Chuncheon, Wonju and Gangneung." He added, "We hope you will look through the guidebook, choose a production that appeals to you, visit a performance venue near your home and enjoy the emotion that can only be experienced there."
