Nexon's 'ARC Raiders' to Be Adapted into a Film

[Financial News] Nexon has signed a partnership agreement with Chernin Entertainment, the flagship film and television production label of The North Road Company. Chernin Entertainment will oversee the development of film and television content based on ARC Raiders and The Finals, both developed by Nexon subsidiary Embark Studios.
According to industry sources on the 6th, ARC Raiders recorded 700,000 concurrent users across all platforms within two weeks of its launch last October. Its cumulative global sales have surpassed 16 million copies. On October 8, it is set to introduce Frozen Trail, its largest update since launch.
The Finals has recorded more than 30 million cumulative users over the three years since its launch. A new season is scheduled to debut on October 20.
Patrick Söderlund, chairman of Nexon and CEO of Embark Studios, said, "This partnership will mark an important milestone in expanding ARC Raiders and The Finals into a cohesive transmedia experience, while also providing an opportunity to repay the passion of players around the world. The development team at Embark Studios will work closely with Chernin Entertainment throughout the content production process so that the unique creativity of the two games can continue in entirely new forms."
