Lenovo Korea Leads Efforts to Bridge the Digital Divide, Donates IT Equipment to Holt Children's Services

Lenovo Korea said on the 6th that it had provided equipment to Holt Gangdong Welfare Center and Hanam City Comprehensive Social Welfare Center through Holt Children's Services and established Lenovo Digital Learning Centers.
On the 2nd, Lenovo Korea executives visited Holt Gangdong Welfare Center and delivered laptops and tablet PCs worth KRW 20 million. The digital learning center established at the welfare center and the donated devices will be used to support education and access to information for people with developmental disabilities.
The company provided Hanam City Comprehensive Social Welfare Center with equipment worth KRW 30 million, including desktop computers, monitors, and keyboard-and-mouse sets. Employees personally replaced the equipment in the existing computer room and also participated in digital education volunteer activities. The learning center will be used to provide digital education for local residents and operate various programs.
The donation is part of Lenovo Group's global corporate social responsibility campaign, Love on Month of Service (LMOS). The campaign brings together employees in countries around the world to participate in volunteer activities and help address community challenges, including improving access to education and technology.
Shin Kyu-sik, CEO of Lenovo Korea, said, "As digital devices are an important means of accessing learning and information, it is important to create an environment where everyone can use them." He added, "We will continue expanding access to technology and digital learning opportunities by providing devices and encouraging employee volunteer activities."
