[Financial News] Starbucks Coffee Korea's signature fall beverage, Black Glazed Latte, has surpassed 30 million cups in cumulative sales.
According to Starbucks on the 6th, Black Glazed Latte has returned every fall since its initial launch in 2019. The beverage has earned the nickname "Beulgeulla" and established itself as one of Starbucks' signature fall seasonal drinks. This year, sales began in August, and it currently ranks first in sales among fall seasonal beverages.
Black Glazed Latte features espresso topped with glazed foam flavored with mascarpone cheese, along with mocha drizzle and burnt caramel powder. The result is a sweet yet deep flavor. Drinking it without a straw allows customers to fully appreciate the harmony between the smooth foam and espresso.
Starbucks has also incorporated glazed foam into a variety of tea beverages, including matcha, hojicha and black tea.
First launched last year, Matcha Glazed Tea Latte was reintroduced on the 29th of last month in response to strong customer demand. The beverage combines bittersweet matcha with sweet glazed foam and burnt caramel flavors. After exceeding expectations in popularity last year, its sales period was extended twice, bringing total sales to 3.5 million cups.
Starbucks also expanded its glazed-foam beverage lineup, beginning with the launch of Hoji Glazed Tea Latte in August. Last month, it introduced Glazed Foam Black Tea, which combines black tea with glazed foam and a sweet aloe topping.
A Starbucks representative said, "We will continue to introduce differentiated beverages that customers can look forward to each season and return to enjoy."
