[Financial News] LG Chem will showcase engineering materials for artificial intelligence (AI) data centers, robotics and other applications at a plastics industry trade fair in Germany. Alongside its product displays, the company plans to devote more than half of its exhibition booth to customer meeting areas to expand technology collaboration with European manufacturers.
LG Chem announced on the 6th that it will participate in the Fakuma International Trade Fair for Plastics Processing 2026, a plastics trade fair taking place in Germany from the 12th to the 16th.
Fakuma is a plastics industry trade fair attended by global materials companies and major European manufacturers. At this year's event, LG Chem plans to unveil high-performance, high-value-added materials solutions for the automotive, electrical and electronics industries, as well as AI data centers, robotics and high-performance breathable films.
LG Chem will set up an approximately 70-square-meter exhibition booth focused on solution marketing aimed at addressing its customers' key challenges.
The booth will feature three themes: "Cost Efficiency," showcasing paint-free automotive materials and metal-replacement solutions; "Sustainability," centered on bio-based materials and low-carbon solutions; and "Innovation," introducing next-generation engineering plastics technologies for AI data centers and robotics.
LG Chem will devote more than half of the exhibition space to meetings for customized consultations and technical discussions with customers. The company also plans to support customers' product development by using SISO (Simulation Integration Solution), its proprietary solution for predicting and verifying product performance during the design stage.
LG Chem expects demand for lightweight, high-performance materials to grow in Europe amid electrification and environmental policies.
Lee Chang-hyun, executive vice president and head of LG Chem's Engineering Materials Business Division, said, "By proposing next-generation materials solutions, we will provide new growth opportunities and differentiated value."
