[Financial News] Lotteria hosted an eco-friendly running festival, creating an enjoyable opportunity to connect with its customers.
According to industry sources on the 6th, Lotteria concluded '2026 Ria-neun Baebulrun,' an unconventional running festival held on the 4th around Seoul Children's Grand Park in Gwangjin District, Seoul.
First introduced by Lotteria this year, Ria-neun Baebulrun was designed as a noncompetitive running event built around the unconventional idea that participants would feel full after running, thanks to its generous benefits.
The event featured a 5-kilometer course shaped like a burger, set against the natural surroundings of Seoul Children's Grand Park. All tickets released earlier through its own app, Lotteeatz, sold out early.
More than 2,000 participants started in groups from 7:30 a.m., with their groups determined by their running profiles assessed in advance. The event unfolded in a festive atmosphere focused on enjoying running itself rather than competing for the fastest time.
Following the run, the festival featured completion kits, style awards for participants who showed off distinctive running outfits—with the best dresser receiving a one-year pass for Lotteria burgers—as well as recreational activities and a lucky draw.
The event also emphasized its eco-friendly approach. Considering the large-scale outdoor setting, Lotteria replaced disposable cups with reusable containers at turning points and hydration stations. Event staff also wore upcycled uniforms made from discarded uniforms that LOTTE GRS introduced in June.
A LOTTE GRS official said, "This event was designed to add Lotteria's fun and generous benefits to the healthy culture of running, filling our customers' hands and hearts to the brim." The official added, "We will continue to present interactive campaigns that share sustainable values with our customers."
