[Financial News] A securities industry analysis said AUTECH could be re-evaluated as a cooling infrastructure company spanning AI data centers and cold chain operations. The technology it has developed through its existing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and special-purpose vehicle businesses is expanding into growth markets such as AI data center cooling and e-commerce logistics, making this a key investment point.
On the 6th, Stunning Value Research analyzed that AI data center cooling solutions and the expansion of the logistics and cold chain markets, including Coupang, would be major growth drivers for AUTECH. However, it did not provide an investment opinion or a target price.
The research particularly focused on the AI data center cooling business of AUTECH Carrier, a subsidiary. As AI servers become more powerful, their power consumption and heat generation are surging. As a result, data center competitiveness is increasingly determined not only by server performance but also by how efficiently heat can be managed.
AUTECH Carrier is expanding its next-generation data center cooling solutions beyond conventional air- and water-cooling systems to include direct-to-chip cooling, immersion cooling, and high-efficiency turbo chillers. According to the report, the related cooling equipment has begun to be used at AI data center sites after undergoing quality verification by global big tech companies, including NVIDIA.
Stunning Value Research also identified collaboration with global Carrier as a factor that could enhance AUTECH Carrier's growth prospects. Researcher Jeon Young-dae said, "AUTECH Carrier is pursuing plans to supply high-efficiency HVAC and cooling systems for overseas AI data center projects, including those in North America, in collaboration with Carrier. If AUTECH Carrier's manufacturing and engineering capabilities are combined with Carrier's international network, the company could expand its previously Korea-centered business into the overseas AIDC value chain."
Logistics is another growth engine for the company. Building on its competitiveness in South Korea's special-purpose vehicle market, AUTECH supplies refrigerated and freezer trucks as well as temperature-control solutions. If Coupang continues expanding Rocket Delivery and Rocket Fresh while increasing investments in logistics centers, demand for cold chain services needed to transport fresh foods could rise alongside demand for delivery vehicles.
Stunning Value Research ultimately viewed AUTECH's investment case as the integration of its seemingly unrelated HVAC and special-purpose vehicle businesses under a single growth engine: thermal management. In AI data centers, the company reduces heat from servers; in logistics, it maintains product temperatures.
Jeon added, "The growth of next-generation cooling solutions driven by increased investment in AI data centers and rising demand for special-purpose vehicles and cold chain services as e-commerce logistics infrastructure expands at Coupang and elsewhere are both expected. Attention should be paid to the way AUTECH's existing business base is expanding into new growth markets."
