[Financial News] KORAMCO REITs Management and Trust and Koramco Asset Management have produced their first class of completers from an in-house MBA program operated in partnership with Hanyang University Graduate School. The program is being viewed as a talent-management achievement aimed at enhancing employees’ expertise and practical capabilities in line with the sector specialization framework pursued since last year.
According to investment banking industry sources on the 6th, KORAMCO held the “2026 KORAMCO MBA Project Presentations and Completion Ceremony” at Hanyang University’s Business Administration Building. Fifteen next-generation leaders selected from business areas including REITs, trust, and asset management completed the MBA program. The course ran for approximately four months, from June through this month, and featured a real estate finance-focused curriculum developed by Hanyang University faculty.
The in-house MBA is the flagship program of the talent-management strategy that KORAMCO has strengthened since Jeong Seung-hoe took office as CEO of KORAMCO REITs Management and Trust. Since last year, KORAMCO has reorganized specialized teams for key investment sectors, including offices, logistics, data centers, hotels, and residential properties. It has also divided its financing, investment, and asset management functions into more specialized areas. The program was launched on the judgment that as the organization becomes more specialized, systematic education is needed to help employees understand market changes and investment structures and lead their businesses more effectively.
KORAMCO plans to establish a talent-development model that connects education with job performance through the in-house MBA. Its goal is to improve the efficiency of repetitive tasks using AI and data-driven tools, allowing employees to focus more on high-value-added work such as investment decisions, deal structuring, and risk management.
The MBA is one pillar of KORAMCO’s comprehensive talent-management system. In July, the company completed Yonsei University’s Sangnam Institute of Management executive real estate program for personnel at the division-head level. KORAMCO is refining its education system according to rank and role by offering executives an executive program to broaden their understanding of market changes, investment insights, and networks, while providing working-level employees with an in-house MBA in partnership with Hanyang University. It is also connecting overseas training that offers firsthand experience in advanced real estate markets such as Japan and Singapore, the Deal & Insight Session for sharing actual investment, development, and sale cases, and practical AI training for employees into a single system focused on overseas market experience, practical knowledge sharing, digital capability building, and next-generation leader development.
KORAMCO is considering making its in-house MBA and executive real estate programs regular offerings while gradually expanding the pool of participants. Based on the practical applicability confirmed through the first course, the company plans to broaden the curriculum beyond real estate investment, development, and asset management to include AI and data analytics, risk management, and global investment strategies.
Jeong Seung-hoe, CEO of KORAMCO REITs Management and Trust, said, "The greatest significance of this in-house MBA lies not simply in learning new knowledge, but in connecting that learning to actual changes in the workplace. AI and data are rapidly changing how we work, but people ultimately make and take responsibility for the final decisions about which assets to invest in and which risks to assume."
He added, "I hope the graduates return to their respective roles, connect the company’s businesses and organization, and apply the ideas developed during the program to their actual work to create new sources of competitiveness for KORAMCO."
