[Financial News] Nuri No. 5 was moved to the launch pad ahead of its launch on the 7th. The Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA) and the Korea Aerospace Research Institute said they began transferring the Korean launch vehicle Nuri from the launch vehicle assembly building at Naro Space Center to Launch Pad 2 at 6 a.m. on the 6th. KARI held a Launch Preparation Committee meeting at 6:30 p.m. on the previous day, the 5th, and decided to transfer Nuri to the launch pad after reviewing its technical readiness and weather conditions. Nuri will be transported on an unmanned special transport vehicle, or transporter, over approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from the launch vehicle assembly building to Launch Pad 2 within Naro Space Center.
After arriving at the launch pad, Nuri will be erected following preparatory work. Launch preparations will then proceed, including connecting the umbilicals needed to supply Nuri with power and propellants (fuel and oxidizer), as well as conducting leak-tightness checks. If no issues are found at any stage—from transfer to the launch pad through erection and umbilical connection—the installation of Nuri on the launch pad is expected to be completed today.
KASA will hold a Launch Management Committee meeting on the morning of the 7th to comprehensively review the technical readiness, weather and space environment, and the possibility of collisions with space objects before determining Nuri's final launch time.
