[Financial News] Green Doctors Foundation, an international medical volunteer organization, and On Hospital announced on the 5th that they have been providing free medical services for multicultural families and foreign workers every Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at On Hospital for the past 23 years.
On the 4th, 15 Mongolian doctors who had come to Busan to learn Korea's advanced medical technology also joined the volunteer effort at the invitation of the Consulate of Mongolia in Busan, represented by Consul Cha Gang-eupgung, and On Hospital, led by Hospital Director Kim Dong-heon.
Specialists from On Hospital and Pusan National University Hospital also contributed their expertise. Lee Hyeon-gook, director of On Hospital's Cardiovascular Center and an adjunct professor of cardiology at Pusan National University Hospital; Jeon Chang-won, head of the Emergency Medical Center and a surgical specialist; Song Jeong-yun, head of pediatrics; and Kim Ki Uk, a professor of respiratory medicine at Pusan National University Hospital, worked alongside the Mongolian doctors in training, demonstrating cross-border collaborative care.
About 90 foreign patients received treatment at On Hospital's clinic that day, including more than 60 Mongolian nationals, 12 Chinese nationals, five Vietnamese nationals and one Russian national.
Jeong Geun, chairman of Green Doctors Foundation, encouraged the participating medical staff, saying, "Every Sunday, when everyone else is resting, the warm solidarity offered at the International Medical Center on the sixth floor of On Hospital in Busanjin District, Busan, is quietly resonating around the world, showing what lies at the heart of medicine beyond borders and race."
