Nagoya Asian Games delegation returns home; MCST to hold welcome ceremony at Incheon Airport on the 5th

[Financial News] The South Korean delegation, having completed the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Summer Asian Games, will hold a welcome-home ceremony at Incheon International Airport on the 5th, marking the end of its official activities.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) on the 5th, a welcome ceremony organized by the MCST and the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee (KSOC) will be held that afternoon in the arrivals hall on the first floor of Terminal 2 at Incheon International Airport.
Ryu Seung-min, president of the KSOC, and Lee Sang-hyun, head of the delegation, will attend along with around 90 members of the main and support delegations. MCST Minister Choi Hwi-young will present bouquets to the delegation and offer words of encouragement.
Lee will report the delegation's results at the Games to the public and return the delegation flag to Ryu. South Korea sent 790 athletes to compete in 41 sports at the event.
The Games were held from September 19 to October 4, primarily in Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya. Japan's hosting of the Asian Games came 32 years after the 1994 Hiroshima Games, making this the country's third time hosting the event.
Minister Choi said, "I sincerely welcome home our delegation, which gave its all until the very end on the Asian Games stage." He added, "MCST will continue to support athletes so they can train in better conditions and fully showcase their abilities on the international stage."
