[Financial News]  Dongwon Group has continued its veterans-focused management initiatives in the United States for more than 15 years, honoring Korean War veterans.
According to Dongwon Group on July 4, the company jointly held an event for Korean War veterans with its U.S. subsidiary StarKist on July 3 local time at the Holiday Inn Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas.
The event was an annual gathering organized by the Chosin Reservoir Battle Association to honor U.S. and UN forces who fought in the Battle of Chosin Reservoir during the Korean War. It was held to remember the courage and sacrifices of the veterans who devoted themselves to defending freedom on the Korean Peninsula and to pass their stories on to future generations.
The program featured commemorative remarks by key attendees, an official dinner and musical performances.
Dongwon Group has held related events every year since honorary chairman Kim Jae-chul hosted the first event for Korean War veterans in 2010. StarKist has also worked with the Chosin Reservoir Battle Association for the past five years to hold commemorative events for veterans and their families.
