Hyundai Capital Services Also Hacked, Personal Information of Some Mortgage Loan Agents Leaked

Some personal information related to mortgage loan agents at Hyundai Capital Services was reportedly leaked after the company suffered a hacking attack suspected to have used artificial intelligence (AI).
According to Yonhap News Agency and other sources on the 3rd, Hyundai Capital Services discovered the previous afternoon that its mortgage loan agents' lookup page had been attacked via an overseas IP address.
The attack reportedly resulted in the leakage of personal information belonging to some of the 146 mortgage loan agents. The leaked information included names, mobile phone numbers and resident registration numbers.
However, Hyundai Capital Services explained that no personal information belonging to regular customers had been leaked. The company also stressed that its internal systems had not been accessed or attacked.
