[Financial News] LG Uplus provided content production training using generative artificial intelligence (AI) for members of its creator community, Uplus Boosters (U+BOOSTUS).
LG Uplus said on the 4th that it had conducted a training program at the Google Korea office in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, with 18 top-performing Boosters participants.
On the 2nd, participants practiced applying AI at every stage, from video planning to production and editing, using Google's generative AI tool Gemini. They also developed content topics and story structures while refining production ideas suited to their respective fields of activity and channel characteristics.
Through real-world content production cases, the participants also examined considerations involved in using AI as an auxiliary tool. They toured the Google Korea office, listened to explanations about changes in digital content and AI technology, and shared production experiences and expertise with fellow creators.
Boosters is a creator community that LG Uplus has operated since 2023. Participants directly experience LG Uplus products and services and then introduce those experiences on their respective channels. About 260 people are currently active in the community, and they have produced more than 4,700 pieces of content to date. The content has accumulated about 150 million views and 1.18 million engagements, which measure user response.
In Season 5 this year, LG Uplus is expanding the participants' content production capabilities and areas of activity through platform-specific training, networking, and visits to global technology companies. Last September, it visited Tokyo, Japan, with 12 top-performing participants and held a content production workshop and a global creator trends session at the local Meta office.
Kim Hee-jin, head of LG Uplus's Brand Marketing Team, said, "As generative AI is transforming the overall approach to content production, it is becoming increasingly important for creators to develop the capabilities to use AI."
