[Financial News] The South Korea national football team will face Venezuela with Son Heung-min and Hyeon-gyu Oh leading the attack. Kim Min-su has been named in the starting lineup for his first A international, while Kim Min-jae will anchor the defense. After recording contrasting results in their last two matches, the team will take on another South American side to assess its strength.
South Korea announced its starting lineup ahead of the friendly against Venezuela, scheduled for 8 p.m. on the 2nd at Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium.
Son Heung-min and Hyeon-gyu Oh will lead the line. Kim Min-su and Lee Kang-in will operate on the flanks, while Hwang In-beom and Park Jin-seob will combine in midfield.
The defense will consist of Cho Hyun-taek, Kim Min-jae, Lee Han-beom and Seol Young-woo. Song Bum-keun will start in goal.
This will be Kim Min-su's first start in an A international. After coming on as a substitute in the previous two matches, he will contribute to the attack from the opening whistle this time. Hwang In-beom will also make his first start during this call-up.
South Korea beat Ecuador 3-0 in Robert Moreno's debut match as manager last month, but then lost 1-4 to Uruguay. After showing inconsistent form in those two games, South Korea will use the match against Venezuela to sharpen its performance and assess player combinations.
