[Financial News] UNICEF Korea and Tebahsoft are collecting educational case studies on supporting the mental health of children and adolescents. They are seeking examples not only from schools but also from kindergartens, daycare centers, and counseling and welfare organizations.
According to UNICEF Korea on the second, Tebahsoft, an edtech and mental health care company, donated KRW 20 million to support social-emotional learning. The company has continued its support for a second consecutive year since last year.
The two organizations will jointly host the "2027 Social-Emotional Learning Lesson Case Competition" using the funds. Applications will be accepted from November 2 through 4 p.m. on November 30.
This year, eligibility has been expanded to include kindergartens and daycare centers; elementary, middle, high, and special schools; teachers at private institutions; and staff members of child welfare and counseling organizations. Anyone with experience in social-emotional learning activities may apply.
The judging will be divided into an "Analog Education Category," which focuses on direct interaction between teachers and students, and an "Edtech Category," which uses digital technology.
Collecting examples from school classes as well as counseling and welfare settings will make it possible to examine support methods suited to children's living environments. The competition also distinguishes whether digital technology is used, allowing participants to find relevant examples based on conditions in the field.
Up to 13 teams will receive awards: one grand prize, three top excellence awards, six excellence awards, and three special awards. The grand prize winner will receive a prize worth KRW 2 million and a certificate.
The results will be announced on January 18 next year, and the awards ceremony is scheduled for February 13. Applicants can complete the form provided in the announcement on the UNICEF Korea website and submit it by email.
Heo Geum-ju, secretary-general of UNICEF Korea, said, "For children and adolescents to grow up healthy and happy, it is important to consistently look after not only their bodies but also their minds."
