[Financial News] A group of men who assaulted a citizen for trying to stop one of them from urinating in public and stole the victim's belongings has been sent to prosecutors in custody.
Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police Station said on the 2nd that it had sent three men in their 20s to the Seoul Southern District Public Prosecution Office in custody on suspicion of robbery causing injury.
They are accused of assaulting Victim A together in a residential area in Daerim-dong, Yeongdeungpo District, Seoul, at around 1 a.m. on the 24th of last month after he confronted one of them about urinating in public. They then took his cellphone and bag to prevent him from reporting the incident.
A suffered injuries including a fractured nasal bone, but the injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Investigators found that the suspects had been drinking at the time of the incident. Whether they had taken drugs or other substances was not confirmed.
Two of the group were placed under emergency arrest, while the remaining suspect voluntarily turned himself in. Police detained them one by one between the 26th and 29th of last month.
