[Financial News] The legal artificial intelligence (AI) service SuperLawyer is expanding into an integrated platform where users can handle their legal work in one place by adding a case-law search function.
Law&Company, a comprehensive legal-tech company, announced on the 2nd that it had launched a new case-law search function on SuperLawyer. To mark the launch, the company will provide SuperLawyer members with free access to the case-law search service through the end of this month.
The new case-law search function connects SuperLawyer with BigCase, an AI-based integrated legal information service launched by Law&Company in 2022. Users can now search for legal precedents within SuperLawyer and handle subsequent legal tasks, such as AI-based question-and-answer services, in one place.
According to Law&Company, SuperLawyer provides access to a total of 5.34 million full-text legal precedents, which the company described as the highest level in the industry. Existing BigCase members can connect their accounts after completing a one-time account verification, while nonmembers can use the service after agreeing to the terms and completing the registration process.
The service also includes features designed to improve search accuracy. These include citation relationship analysis, which reflects how often a precedent has been cited in other rulings, and issue similarity analysis, which finds similar precedents based on the legal issues considered by the court. A feature has also been introduced to assess the validity of precedents and present together both precedents that are no longer effective and the rulings that overturned them.
Bon Kim, CEO of Law&Company, said, "With the launch of the new feature, SuperLawyer members can conveniently use the legal AI service and case-law search." He added, "We will spare no investment in strengthening our technological capabilities and securing high-quality legal data."
