[Financial News] Krafton's domestic professional esports tournament for PUBG MOBILE, 'Mountain Dew PUBG MOBILE Pro Series (PMPS) 2026 Season 2,' will open on the 3rd.
Krafton announced on the 2nd that it will host PMPS 2026 Season 2, featuring 16 South Korean teams. The winner will earn a spot in the global tournament PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC). The top five teams will have the opportunity to compete in the PUBG MOBILE Invitational Cup (BMIC).
The tournament will feature 16 teams in total: four partner teams, seven regionally based teams from the Korea Esports League (KEL), and the top five teams from the PUBG MOBILE OPEN CHALLENGE (PMOC).
The tournament consists of a five-day Circuit Stage and a two-day Final. The Circuit Stage will be held online on the 3rd–4th and 9th–11th. The top three teams from each Circuit Stage will receive benefit points that will count toward the Final.
The Final will be held offline at Daejeon Esports Stadium on the 17th–18th. Final standings will be determined by combining the points earned in the Final with the benefit points. The total prize pool is 40 million won: 25 million won for first place, 10 million won for second place, and 5 million won for third place.
This Final will be held in collaboration with Daejeon City to coincide with the Bread Festival, a signature local festival. A collaboration using the intellectual property (IP) of Kkumdori, Daejeon's representative character, will also take place. Buyers of Final tickets will receive a Kkumdori collaboration T-shirt, while a PMPS experience program will be set up at the Bread Festival.
The tournament will be streamed live through the official PUBG MOBILE Esports YouTube channel, Soop, CHZZK, and TikTok.
