【Financial News, Gumi — Kim Jang-wook】 Gumi City's relentless efforts to revitalize the local construction industry are bearing fruit.
To that end, the city has arranged a meeting between Samsung C&T and local construction companies, drawing attention with its efforts to expand opportunities for local firms to work with major corporations.
Gumi City will hold the 'Samsung C&T & Local Construction Companies Win-Win Cooperation Matching Day' at 3 p.m. on the 15th in the main conference room on the third floor of Gumi City Hall.
This is the first event at which Gumi City has directly invited a major construction company to provide local construction firms with an opportunity to meet. It is designed to allow local companies to communicate directly with the major corporation and explore potential partnerships.
Mayor Kim Jang-ho emphasized, "For large-scale investments made in the region to lead to the growth of local companies and the revitalization of the local economy, substantive connections between companies are essential. I hope this matching day will give outstanding local construction firms an opportunity to meet directly with Samsung C&T, showcase their capabilities and explore new partnership opportunities."
He added, "We will continue creating opportunities for win-win cooperation that connect major corporations with local companies, so that they can strengthen their competitiveness and contribute to the revitalization of the local economy."
An official from Samsung C&T's headquarters will attend in person to explain the documents and procedures required for registering as a partner company, as well as safety-related systems. The official will also provide customized one-on-one consultations for each company on registration preparations and areas of interest.
The event will also provide information on procurement plans related to the SDS Gumi AI Data Center, allowing local construction companies to identify areas in which they may participate in the future.
The recruitment covers 15 construction categories, including ancillary civil engineering. Companies interested in participating must apply through the relevant associations by the 8th. Each association will review the applicants and select two or three companies in each category that are most likely to meet the eligibility requirements for registering as partner companies presented by Samsung C&T.
