According to BKL on the 2nd, Rima Dash is an Indian corporate law specialist who worked for approximately 13 years at Morgan Stanley India and G42's Indian entity, among others, after practicing at a major Indian law firm. Having worked in both law firms and corporations, she built extensive practical experience in corporate and regulatory matters, compliance, corporate governance, capital markets, and technology infrastructure.
She has advised on equity and debt capital markets transactions, as well as fundraising and investments for companies, financial institutions, and investment funds; preparations for listings and restructurings; and post-listing disclosures and regulatory matters. More recently, she participated in technology infrastructure projects, including an AI data center joint venture, at G42's Indian entity, expanding her practice into AI and technology.
Rima Dash will travel between Bengaluru, a major economic city in southern India, and South Korea to advise Korean companies on entering and investing in India.
BKL has further strengthened its India practice by recruiting Rima Dash following the addition of Indian lawyer Sarthak Malhotra. Dash, who specializes in corporate and investment advisory work, will collaborate with Malhotra, an expert in international arbitration and disputes, to provide Korean companies with broad support from entering and investing in India through business operations and dispute response.
Jongbaek Park, who leads BKL's India Task Force, said, "India is a place where interest among Korean companies and financial institutions is rising rapidly, while a local understanding of regional systems and regulations is crucial. By understanding and bridging the differences between the legal systems and business practices of Korea and India, with Dash and Malhotra drawing on their extensive experience in India, we will be able to provide more detailed and practical advice on the various legal issues that arise as Korean companies enter and invest in India."
