"Hong Seok-cheon has such great character": Picks up garbage sacks spilled onto a road with his bare hands... Accidentally caught on dashcam [Warm News]

[Financial News]  Broadcaster Hong Seok-cheon has become a hot topic after footage emerged of him getting out of his car and picking up trash with his bare hands after spotting a sanitation worker clearing garbage bags scattered across the road. The act has resonated even more because it was an unplanned good deed captured by chance, rather than a staged display.
On the 1st, a video showing Hong Seok-cheon clearing trash that had fallen onto a road in the early morning was posted on the social media platform Threads.
According to A, who posted the video, several garbage bags fell onto the road from a truck traveling near Gongdeok Station in Seoul's Mapo District. A sanitation worker dressed in work clothes was collecting the trash. After spotting the scene, Hong Seok-cheon helped the worker by picking up the trash one piece at a time with his bare hands and placing it in a sack. His actions were captured by the dashcam of a vehicle traveling ahead.
A explained that Hong Seok-cheon stopped his vehicle after noticing the garbage bags on the road. He asked his passenger to turn on the hazard lights, then helped the sanitation worker pick up the trash before returning to his vehicle.
A said, "It wasn't staged on purpose. You can really tell from someone's actions whether they are forcing themselves to do something or doing it from the heart." A added, "Hong Seok-cheon seems to have truly remarkable character. This guy seems like the real deal."
Hong Seok-cheon told iMBC Entertainment, "Why is an old video being reposted? It's embarrassing for no reason." He added, "I only turned on my vehicle's hazard lights and helped for a moment because the sanitation worker was clearing the road dangerously at the time."
Viewers who saw the video responded, "What a wonderful person," "Not just anyone can do that. He's an amazing person," "He truly is a good person," "It looks like he acted sincerely," and "This is something we should learn from."
