[Financial News] CJ Olive Young is comprehensively revamping its corporate website and launching an official newsroom dedicated to stories about the K-beauty industry and brands.
CJ Olive Young said on the 2nd that it had opened its official newsroom, Editorial by Olive Young. The platform will cover the K-beauty industry, brands, and people.
The company explained that the revamp reflects growing interest among global consumers not only in K-beauty products but also in beauty trends and brands. From the beginning of this year through last month, foreign customer sales at Olive Young stores in Korea increased more than 22-fold from the same period in 2019, while the company also expanded its overseas presence.
The newsroom consists of three themes.
“Now” covers Olive Young's business operations and K-beauty trends. “Culture” introduces stories about employees working in various fields, including merchandising (MD), retail, and global operations. “Impact” highlights the growth journeys of brands available at Olive Young. The company also conducts interviews with brand representatives through its signature content series, “Behind the Brand.” Along with the newsroom's launch, it released the growth stories of four brands: NOTHING BETTER, Mediheal, Cell Fusion C, and ATHOME.
English- and Japanese-language newsrooms will also operate so that people overseas can access the content.
An Olive Young representative said, "As K-beauty continues to grow, high-quality content capturing market trends and changes will become increasingly important. We will develop a platform that offers a broad view of K-beauty's present and future."
