[Financial News] WEMADE PLAY has completed an audit for ISO 27001 international information security certification through the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Obtained through a renewal audit following surveillance audits since its initial certification, this marks the seventh consecutive year of certification since 2020. WEMADE PLAY plans to accelerate the expansion of security policies for its service platforms to strengthen personal information protection during the second half of the year.
According to industry sources on the 2nd, the certification resulted from WEMADE PLAY's ongoing preparations to prevent and respond to risks and conditions in domestic and overseas environments, along with external verification of its newly introduced policies and systems.
Since late last year, WEMADE PLAY has tailored the Zero Trust model, which has drawn attention in the global security industry under the motto "verification without exception," to its own operations. The company has strengthened its security policies and expanded its solutions. It also completed the domestically accredited Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification in April.
WEMADE PLAY Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Sung Kim said, "This certification is an achievement of our employees, who applied the new security policies to their respective duties and company lives and made them part of their daily routines," adding, "In line with our development and service direction as we expand into overseas markets as well as the domestic market, we will continue providing security services based on global standards."
