[Financial News] Cadillac and GMC are concentrating purchase incentives on their flagship SUVs and pickup trucks throughout October to coincide with the fall driving season. Cadillac is offering a KRW 2 million cash discount and low-interest financing on the Escalade, while GMC will cover the increase in the individual consumption tax for the Acadia. The companies are also expanding stacked discounts for corporate and business customers as well as existing vehicle owners, aiming to capture demand for imported large SUVs and pickups.
Cadillac and GMC announced on the 2nd that they would run an October promotion combining standard purchase benefits with customer-specific programs for their major models.
For the 2026 Cadillac Escalade and its long-body version, the Cadillac Escalade ESV, customers can choose one of three options: a KRW 2 million cash discount, 36-month affiliated financing at an annual interest rate of 1.6%, or a 60-month affiliated auto lease at an annual rate of 2.5%. The financing option is based on a 40% down payment, while the auto lease is based on a 40% security deposit.
Additional discounts are available to customers who already own a GM-brand vehicle. Customers who own a Cadillac, Chevrolet, or GMC vehicle and purchase a Cadillac Escalade or the electric SUVs Cadillac Escalade IQ and Escalade IQL will receive 2% off the vehicle price. Existing Escalade owners will receive an additional 1% discount.
Corporate and sole proprietor customers can receive a separate discount of 2% off the vehicle price, while customers who own vehicles from certain brands can receive a 1% discount. Customers who meet the requirements may combine the tailored programs.
GMC has enhanced purchase incentives for the full-size GMC Acadia SUV, the midsize GMC Canyon pickup, and the electric GMC Hummer EV SUV.
Customers who purchase the GMC Acadia will receive support for the increase in the individual consumption tax as a standard benefit. Families with two or more children will receive an additional KRW 500,000 discount, while customers who purchase designated inventory will receive an extra 2% off the vehicle price.
GMC has expanded the discounts available for the Canyon according to customer type. Corporate and sole proprietor customers can receive 2% off the vehicle price, and customers who purchase designated inventory will receive an additional 2% discount. Customers who own vehicles from certain brands can receive an additional 1% discount, and all programs may be combined if the requirements are met.
The GMC Hummer EV SUV is also offering a 2% loyalty discount off the vehicle price to customers who own an existing GM-brand vehicle. Existing Escalade owners who switch to the GMC Hummer EV SUV can receive an additional 1% discount.
Alongside its sales expansion efforts, Cadillac is holding an experience event. The 'Your Iconic Getaway' test-drive event, which allows participants to experience the 2026 new Escalade equipped with the Super Cruise hands-free driving assistance system, will run through the end of this month.
Customers who take a test drive through the event and complete both their contract and vehicle delivery by the 31st will be entered into a drawing. Winners will receive either a one-night, two-day package at Lotte Skyhill Buyeo CC and Lotte Resort or a Stanley All-Day Julien Cooler Tote Bag, among other prizes.
