[Financial News] KT is using artificial intelligence (AI) to support small business owners, from hiring employees to marketing. The company is expanding its small business platform, Sajangiji, into an AI transformation (AX) platform that helps with actual business operations, beyond store management and business information.
KT announced on the 2nd that it had launched an AI interview service on its integrated small business platform, Sajangiji, and would introduce its AI-powered marketing service, Soma AI, at the end of November.
The AI interview service allows small business owners to send applicants online interview links via KakaoTalk. Applicants answer AI-generated questions and submit self-introduction videos, which the AI analyzes and summarizes. Store owners can review applicants' self-introductions and answers to each question without having to coordinate interview times separately. The AI also generates the interview questions, reducing the burden of preparing for interviews for small business owners with limited hiring experience.
At the end of November, KT will launch the AI-powered marketing service Soma AI on Sajangiji. The service analyzes store data and information about surrounding commercial areas to suggest necessary marketing activities. It also supports promotional content creation and execution, as well as performance analysis.
Ahead of the official launch, KT is recruiting participants for a Soma AI trial group through the 20th. Selected small business owners will be able to use key features, including marketing recommendations, content creation and performance analysis, for three weeks starting on the 26th. Feedback from the trial group will be reflected in the official service.
KT is also expanding purchasing support for small business owners. On the 1st, it opened a Small Business Owners' Exclusive Store in the Shopping Lounge of the KT Membership app. The store brings together and sells consumables and food ingredients frequently used at stores. Customers using Sajangiji will receive a 5,000-won discount coupon that can be used at the exclusive store.
KT plans to develop Sajangiji into an AX platform for small business owners that supports actual business operations, including hiring and marketing, beyond its existing functions for store management and business information, using AI interviews and Soma AI.
Son Jeong-yeop, an executive vice president and head of the Device Business Division at KT's Customer Business Division, said, "We will continue expanding AI-powered services so that Sajangiji can become a practical business partner that eases the workload of small business owners."
