[Financial News] Kyochon F&B is stepping up its push into the mainland China market by opening a new store in a prime commercial area of Wuxi, Jiangsu Province.
According to industry sources on the 2nd, Kyochon F&B opened Kyochon Chicken's Wuxi, China location at a shopping mall near Lake Tai, one of Jiangsu Province's leading tourist attractions.
Wuxi is a tourist city home to Lake Tai, one of China's three largest freshwater lakes. Located within an hour of Shanghai by high-speed rail, it is considered a popular travel destination visited alongside Shanghai.
Kyochon Chicken's Wuxi, China location occupies 79 square meters, or approximately 24 pyeong, inside a shopping mall with heavy foot traffic. Kyochon is targeting local customers with a menu lineup centered on its three signature varieties—Soy Garlic, Red, and Honey—alongside items tailored to local tastes, including Korean sweet-and-spicy fried chicken and chicken skewers.
The store also features a "History Wall" highlighting the brand's history. The wall incorporates the brand's journey to becoming a global chain with more than 1,400 stores, as well as its signature method of brushing sauce onto the chicken, into the interior design.
Kyochon plans to expand its store network in major Chinese cities, starting with the opening of its Wuxi location. After opening its first Shenzhen store in February last year, the company is also preparing to open a second location there and plans to steadily strengthen its presence in the Chinese market.
A Kyochon F&B official said, "Wuxi is a city where tourism resources and economic vitality coexist, making it an ideal place to introduce Kyochon Chicken's brand philosophy and flavors. We will further strengthen Kyochon's unique taste and localization strategy to provide Chinese customers with a familiar yet differentiated dining experience."
