On the 2nd, Hana Financial Group Chairman Ham Young-joo said at the opening ceremony held at Cheongna Headquarters, "The opening of Cheongna Headquarters marks the culmination of Hana Financial Town's long journey and the starting point of a major transformation that will bring the capabilities of all group companies and employees together in one direction." He added, "Through bold challenges and continuous innovation, we will vigorously open a new 100 years for Hana Financial Group."
Chairman Ham emphasized Hana Financial Group's partnership with Incheon, saying, "Building on Incheon's strength as a global city and Hana Financial Group's accumulated financial expertise, we will open a new path for finance. We will closely connect finance with the livelihoods of Incheon's residents, its future industries and investment policies, and stand together as a regional financial partner supporting the growth of the local economy."
The event was held under the theme "One Sincere Heart, Opening the Future Together." Attendees included Chairman Ham, Incheon Mayor Park Chan-dae, and group executives and employees.
Before the main event, Hana Financial Group held a key ceremony at Global Field in front of Cheongna Headquarters to officially declare the beginning of its Cheongna era. The ceremony marked the completion of Hana Financial Town's 15-year journey and symbolized the opening of a new 100-year chapter in Cheongna.
During the main event, the group introduced the changes that will take place around Cheongna Headquarters, including its work practices, organizational culture and workspaces. It also presented Hana Financial Group's vision for the future, built through communication and collaboration.
Cheongna Headquarters, the group's new focal point, was built with seven basement levels and 15 floors above ground, with a gross floor area of 128,503 square meters (38,872 pyeong). Since September this year, approximately 2,200 employees of Hana Financial Group and 10 major affiliates have been relocating there in phases. Including employees at the existing Integrated Data Center, approximately 4,000 finance and information technology (IT) personnel will work at the site.
In particular, Hana Financial Group plans to further strengthen collaboration between financial operations and IT, data and digital teams by linking the IT infrastructure of the Integrated Data Center in Hana Financial Town with the business capabilities of major financial affiliates moving into Cheongna Headquarters. Based on this cooperation, the group will accelerate digital innovation, including AI transformation (AX), while stepping up efforts to develop new financial services and identify future growth engines through the convergence of finance and technology.
Collaboration was established as a core value from the design stage of Cheongna Headquarters and reflected throughout its architecture, digital infrastructure and employee amenities.
Hana Financial Group plans to expand its connections with the Incheon community. Its vision is to make Cheongna Headquarters more than just a workplace for employees and transform it into the group's signature space shared with the local community. From Cheongna Headquarters, the group also plans to serve as a reliable partner for young people, low-income residents, small-business owners and small and medium-sized enterprises, while working with Incheon to lead future industries such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, culture and energy.
Meanwhile, Hana Financial Group has pursued the Hana Financial Town project in Cheongna International City, Incheon, since 2012. It opened the Integrated Data Center in 2017 and Hana Global Campus in 2019. With Cheongna Headquarters opening this year, the blueprint for Hana Financial Town envisioned 15 years ago has become a reality.
