[Financial News] An unidentified rider on a two-wheeled vehicle struck a 9-year-old girl and fled in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, South Jeolla Province, prompting the victim's family to seek witnesses.
According to News1 and other reports on the 1st, an electric scooter carrying two people presumed to be foreigners collided with A, a 9-year-old girl, at around 4:30 p.m. on the 23rd of last month at an underpass behind Dosan Station in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, South Jeolla Province.
A reportedly lost one tooth in the accident. Another tooth was pushed toward her gums, and she was said to have undergone replantation surgery.
The girl's father wrote on the online community Bobaedream on the 30th of last month, "They say my daughter may lose a total of three teeth, and even the affected area has a poor prognosis," claiming, "After the accident, while my daughter's teeth were knocked out and broken and she was bleeding profusely, the two people who appeared to be foreign workers fled the scene."
The girl's father said, "The investigators are doing their best to find them, but there are no CCTV cameras around the accident site, and there are too many escape routes along the way, making it difficult to catch the perpetrators." He added, "My son, who witnessed the accident, said the purple scooter had a smiley-face emoji sticker on it. Please keep an eye out for it."
Meanwhile, Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station, which received the victim's report, was reportedly working to identify the electric scooter rider and others involved.
