[Financial News] Hyulim Robot attracted more than 710 billion won in subscription deposits through two small public offerings conducted three months apart. Although the company actually raised only around 3 billion won in total, the influx of funds far exceeding the offering amounts reaffirmed strong individual investor interest in robotics stocks.
According to Hyulim Robot on the 2nd, the subscription rate for its public offering of new shares, held from the 29th to the 30th of last month, reached 13,571.06%.
The company planned to issue 386,102 shares, but subscriptions totaled 52,398,150 shares. Based on the final issue price of 5,180 won, the total subscription amount was approximately 271.4 billion won. Given that the company is actually raising about 2 billion won through the offering, more than 135 times the offering amount was submitted in subscriptions.
A similar trend emerged during the small public offering in June. At the time, 44,800,692 shares were subscribed for the 101,832 shares offered, resulting in a subscription rate of 43,994.71%. Based on the issue price of 9,820 won, the subscription deposits amounted to approximately 439.9 billion won, with more than 400 billion won flowing in for an offering of about 1 billion won.
Across the two offerings, Hyulim Robot raised approximately 3 billion won through small public offerings, while about 711.3 billion won was submitted in subscriptions. Rather than reflecting large-scale fundraising, the figures stand out because short-term subscription demand became concentrated around a limited number of new shares.
Industry observers believe that expectations for Hyulim Robot's new businesses, including its Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR), also influenced subscription demand as investment funds have recently flowed into stocks related to robotics and Physical AI. However, the high subscription rate was partly attributable to the small offering size, so it should be distinguished from the company's actual business performance.
Hyulim Robot is currently pursuing businesses involving AMR as well as Physical AI linked to 5G private networks.
A company official explained, "We confirmed market interest through consecutive offerings," adding, "We will focus our capabilities on strengthening competitiveness in the robotics business and enhancing shareholder value." Meanwhile, the new shares from this offering are scheduled to be listed on the 19th.
