[Financial News] Singer Lim Young-woong continued his charitable giving to ease the burden of long-term treatment on children with cancer and their families. The title of 'donation angel' was well deserved.
According to the entertainment industry on the 1st, Lim Young-woong donated the 2 million won prize money from the Sunhan Star King-of-Singers competition, while 360 EcoPro employees contributed 17.96 million won raised through an in-house campaign to support treatment for children with cancer.
With this donation, Lim Young-woong's cumulative contributions through Sunhan Star have reached 136.05 million won. The funds will be used for a caregiving and treatment-cost assistance program for families of children undergoing long-term treatment. The program provides caregiving expenses, living expenses and meal costs to guardians who face difficulties participating in economic activities while caring for their children.
Hong Seung-yoon, a director at the Korea Child Cancer Foundation, said, "Families face tremendous difficulties as they continue with long-term treatment and caregiving," adding, "We will provide careful support so that the donated funds can offer practical help to guardians as they devote themselves to their children's treatment."
Meanwhile, Lim Young-woong, who marked the 10th anniversary of his debut, held his second stadium concert, 'IM HERO - THE STADIUM 2,' at Goyang Stadium last month, drawing more than 95,000 attendees over three days. He has continued his active career, receiving the Popularity Award and the Judges' Special Award at the 2026 The Fact Music Awards (TMA).
