Welcron, which operates both defense and consumer goods businesses, is expanding its support programs for service members and their families. The company is broadening its engagement with military-related customers by leveraging its experience supplying military protective products, including bulletproof vests and ballistic plates, in connection with its household goods business.
According to industry sources on the 1st, Welcron's functional bedding brand SESA is offering discounts through the end of this month to service members, civilian military personnel, reservists and their families in partnership with Milipass, a military identity verification platform.
The promotion is available at 46 stores operated by SESA and the hotel bedding brand 'The White Gallery' in major department stores nationwide. Customers can receive the discount by completing mobile identity verification through the Milipass app and presenting their identification screen or government employee ID at the store.
In addition to its bedding business, Welcron supplies protective products, including new bulletproof vests and lightweight ballistic plates, to the Ministry of National Defense and the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA). The company explained that it had organized the support program for service members and their families around Armed Forces Day, as its defense business has enabled it to maintain ties with the military.
Eligible products include functional bedding for fall and winter, goose-filled comforters, comforter sets and microfiber blankets. Milipass is also providing related information on a dedicated page within its app.
A Welcron representative said, "Both our defense technology and functional bedding businesses are closely connected to service members' safety and living environments. We plan to continue our support activities for service members and their families."
