[Financial News] The Korea Transportation Safety Authority (TS) is conducting a campaign to promote traffic safety rules among tourists and residents visiting Busan during the fall festival season.
On the 1st, TS announced that it would hold the nationwide tour event for the government-wide traffic safety campaign "Accident-Free Today, Too" at Busan Station from that day through the 2nd.
The event was organized in anticipation of increased travel in Busan ahead of major events, including the Busan International Rock Festival and the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).
The campaign will highlight key safety rules, including checking a vehicle before driving, taking a break after two hours of driving, wearing seat belts in both the front and rear seats, avoiding speeding and jaywalking, and refraining from using smartphones while walking. A traffic safety pledge booth will also be available for visitors to Busan Station.
The program also features a 5.04-second timing game symbolizing the 5-0-4 pattern in "Accident-Free Today, Too," as well as drunk-driving simulation goggles and experience kits for senior citizens.
Yong-Sik Jung, president of TS, said, "TS will continue to do its utmost to spread a culture of safety at traffic hubs nationwide so that each and every citizen's practice of traffic safety leads to Accident-Free Today, Too."
