[Financial News]  Police responded to a noise complaint over an idol group's dawn music-video shoot at a traditional market in Incheon Metropolitan City. The group's agency apologized to local residents.
According to Incheon Michuhol Police Station on the 1st, a 112 call reporting that "the noise from a music-video shoot is severe" was received at about 3:20 a.m. the previous day from Jemulpo Market in Sungui-dong, Michuhol-gu, Incheon Metropolitan City.
The artist filming at the time was identified as the five-member boy group KEYVITUP. The shoot was reportedly wrapped up shortly after police arrived at the scene.
A video of the incident and a resident's post were uploaded to social media the previous day. The resident claimed, "I have lived in this neighborhood for 10 years and witnessed countless shoots, but this is the first time I have seen filming carried out to this extent after 3 a.m. with speakers being used," adding, "There was no prior notice about the shoot or any effort to ask for our understanding."
The resident continued, "I understand that it is difficult to film until dawn, but residents are suffering from the noise. Filming does not make you entitled. Please do not cross the line."
In the video, voices of filming staff can be heard saying, "We'll try it again," "Stand by," "Members, let's take our positions one more time," and "Please set off the smoke bomb."
iNKODE Entertainment, the agency representing KEYVITUP, apologized on its official website as the controversy grew.
The agency stated, "We are sorry to the residents who experienced inconvenience and harm from the noise caused by filming at a time when they should have been enjoying a peaceful night." It added, "We failed to carefully consider the inconvenience that could affect the surrounding environment and residents' daily lives."
